How many times have you run into someone and thought, "My gosh, how do they function. This person has such a low IQ they should really be on a respirator." Well some of them most likely have Post-It notes with, "Breathe in" and "Breathe out" somewhere on their person. On Fox News this evening they showed a clip of the speaker of the house answering questions on why she hasn't impeached the President. Instead of saying, honestly and succinctly, "He has not committed an impeachable offense." She tried to steal from the current President Bush's, "I'm a uniter not a divider," schtick. All the reasoning I've heard for impeachment revolve around the, "Bush lied, people died," argument. First, President Bush did not lie. It has been covered time and time again, but bears repeating, to lie you need to know what you are saying is false and say it anyway. The whole world, including the general's of the Iraqi Army, believed that Iraq had a boatload of chemical weapons. Second, most of the left-leaning loons seem to think that President Clinton (Bill not Hillary) was impeached because he lied about his sexual exploits and they equate one lie with another. The problem with that is the previous President committed perjury. Plain and simple if President Clinton would have said, "Yup, I hit that," he would have had a P.R. nightmare but he would not have been impeached. The really disturbing part is that Speaker Pelosi probably believes the nonsense that falls from her lips. I bet if you asked her what form of government we live under she would say democracy. Then when you ask why, if we live in a democracy, the Democrat party is saying that Senator Obama is the presumptive nominee when Senator Clinton clearly had more total votes I bet her head would explode and she would say, "Bush lied, people died."
If the women on The View would spend a little less time huffing hair products and more time actually understanding how our system of government works they wouldn't ask such insipid questions. For Joy Behar to imply that requesting and receiving the authorization to declare and wage war from Congress is in some way an offense just proves my point that off camera somewhere there are probably cue cards with the words, " Breathe IN" and "Breathe OUT" on them so she doesn't pass out. But on the plus side she is creating a job for someone and whoever has those cards is probably a union member and making a good wage, so they are helping the economy.
